  • The story's really good, Mark Waid is a great writer and this was the first graphic novel I ever read, I like it a lot because his writing is simple yet elegant, he knows how to get his point across without being too wordy
  • I enjoyed reading it because it's different from a lot of other graphic novels
  • I highly recommend this to any fan of DC Comics or graphic novels in general

Kingdom Come is a DC Comics’ Elseworlds graphic novel by Mark Waid and illustrated by Alex Ross. It tells the story of a Pastor named Norman McCay who is friends with the Sandman at the end of his life. The Sandman dies and leaves his ability to see visions of the future to Norman McCay.

He encounters the Spectre and is taken on journey to see what will happen to all the superheroes, especially Superman.

This is a great graphic novel. The story’s really good, Mark Waid is a great writer and this was the first graphic novel I ever read, I like it a lot because his writing is simple yet elegant, he knows how to get his point across without being too wordy. The story’s very engaging, the universe is darker with the superheroes we know are either retired or dead, it’s a bleak story, but it’s a hopeful one as well. All the characters are very well written, especially Superman, Batman and Wonder ...

      Woman.

The artwork is also a staple of this graphic novel, Alex Ross doesn’t just illustrate this novel, he hand painted the entire thing, it looks beautiful. The artwork is something that is unique and makes the book special. It’s nice to look at and all the illustrations are spectacular.

      All in all, Kingdome Come

is a terrific graphic novel. I enjoyed reading it because it’s different from a lot of other graphic novels. I loved the artwork and the paintings were beautiful. I highly recommend this to any fan of DC Comics or graphic novels in general. This is one of the great ones that you’re bound to like.
