  • It’s size is also an issue for storage, it doesn’t fit into any of my cupboards so it sits on my counter and takes up a lot of space
  • I would highly recommend to anyone who roasts food on a regular basis

The Nesco American Harvest roaster needs to be cured which is an enormous pain. The manufacturer recommends that it should be cured for an hour but it actually took more like three hours. The curing process pretty much has to be done outside because it really stinks and produces a lot of smoke. Since

I live in an apartment that doesn’t have a balcony I had to do it my kitchen. I opened all the windows but it still really stunk and really produced a lot of smoke.

The roaster works great you can cook almost anything in it and it always turns out great. I’ll never roast anything ...

      • in the oven again it just can’t compare. My one major quibble is that a found this roaster to be a pain to clean. Mostly because it’s to big to fit in my sink. It really needs to be scrubbed out but it’s hard to do that when you can’t get it into your
sink. It’s size is also an issue for storage, it doesn’t fit into any of my cupboards so it sits on my counter and takes up a lot of space.

This is a great roaster once you get past the initial curing process. I would highly recommend to anyone who roasts food on a regular basis.
