  • The best places to visit vary on one's personal taste

Texas is the best state to live in; it could be it’s own republic that it once was if it wanted to and should, but Texas is just too good for that. Even our motto against litter has people up at arms: Don’t MESS with Texas. Too cool. The best places to visit vary on one’s personal taste.

Dallas is crowded and I’ve only been there twice so I can’t say yay or nay on that location. Austin… a cultural cesspool full of street corner evangalists, corner shops, gay pride, and common

peddlers. The state’s capitol is home to one of the best college football teams around as well– bar none.

The one thing that anyone who visits Austin has to do is see a UT game. No visit is complete without it. If crowds aren’t your scene, Bandara is right out side of San Antonio (where you can visit the Alamo) and is as peaceful as Little House on the Prarie.

It is so easy to forget that life is as indultrialized and complicated as we as a culture have made it.

      • It has the breakfast houses, the local movie store, and the look of the old western towns. It’s a getaway if ever you needed one.

My personal favorite is also my hometown: HOUSTON! This is the place to be. Culturally diverse. An active night life.

24-hour stores and fast food. And if you need to get away from the city, the burbs is just 10 minutes west– Katy. The malls are bigger, the clubs are bigger, and the men…have bigger cars.

Dowtown Houston is as clustered as Manhattan,

but smaller scale. Drinks Houston is a club that is like 3 clubs in one, Hush is a multi-level club, and if you are into the pride scene, there are many colorful clubs in the metropolitan area. Six Flags is also better in Houston; it’s connected to the water park now so all you have to do is pay one price for both parks.

Anything you can think of, you can find in Houston in one form or the other. Texas is the best place to vist, but even a better place to live.
