We ended up catching the new Simpson’s episode last night “Oh Brother, Where Bart Thou? Because we thought it would end up being a Christmas episode based on the commercials. It wasn’t.

And, it wasn’t a very good episode either.

      Basically,

there is a power outage and Bart (who doesn’t know everything he enjoys doing requires electricity), sees how Lisa and Maggie are bonding and decides he wants a younger brother rather than just two sisters.

When some hilarious efforts to get Marge pregnant (including switching her birth control with tic tacs, only to have Nelson eat the pills), Bart decides to try to adopt a brother.

He fails in that too but one of the orphans follows him home and they have ...

some good times together; only to have the cops after him because the other kid isn’t supposed to be away from the orphanage.

It was an OK episode but not as good as I thought it would be.

      It was pretty

predictable and there wasn’t a whole lot that was laugh-out-loud funny; with the exception of Ralph being dressed like Kenny from South Park and hit by the bus (funny because we actually watched an episode of South Park before this came on).

It wasn’t anything special, in other words.
