  • Some advantages to both satellite providers, Dish provides a free DVR upon signup where you can record up to 100 hours of your favorite tv shows, movies, sports, etc. Another advantage with Dish is the price, they have better deals then DirectTV
  • Also the DVR Dish offers you is superior compared to the TIVO Direct TV offers you, just alone off the recording, DVR offers you up to 100 hours, while Tivo just up to 35 hours
  • Plus they have great customer service, I have had no problems having something resolved with them
  • But remember you will be paying a higher price for these speciality channels

Some advantages to both satellite providers, Dish provides a free DVR upon signup where you can record up to 100 hours of your favorite tv shows, movies, sports, etc. Another advantage with Dish is the price, they have better deals then DirectTV.

Advantage with Direct TV they offer you certain sports packages that Dish can’t offer you, mainly the top selling very popular NFL Sunday Ticket.

With Dish Network you will need to pay a $ 50 activation fee, which will be counted

as credits on your bill though.

With Direct TV there are no activation fees.

Dish Network does not require you to pay any shipping fees when they send off the equipment you have ordered, where as Direct TV charges you shipping fees.

Dish Network offers you up to 250 channels for your viewing pleasure, including a wide variety of international programming.

Direct TV is a sports fans dream though, they offer you exclusive rights to all sorts of sports channels and packages, such ...

      • as, as mentioned earlier, NFL Sunday Ticket, also NHL Center ICE, MLB Extra Innnings and NBA League Pass.

Also the DVR Dish offers you is superior compared to the TIVO Direct TV offers you, just alone off the recording, DVR offers you up to 100 hours, while Tivo just up to 35 hours.

If you like more channels, lot’s of movies to choose from and great international programming with good prices then Dish Network is the way to go.

        Plus they have great

customer service, I have had no problems having something resolved with them.

If you are a sports junkie and you can’t get enough of the football, baseball and basketball.

Then DirecTV is the way to go.

But remember you will be paying a higher price for these speciality channels.

My winner in this head to head battle goes to Dish Network, good prices, free DVR, great customer service, and I can still watch a lot of the sports I could get from DirectTV.

        The winner:Dish Netowrk
