As the name of the dish suggests, the secret of this recipe is the homemade tomato sauce. Making the sauce takes some time and you might think it a nuisance, but here is the good news: it will keep for months refrigerated in jars, so you can make a lot then just keep opening jars

      and using it.

No, you don’t have to sterilize the jars and “can” the sauce: you just pour it in and close the lid.

The salt and the garlic that the recipe includes will not let it spoil.

      On to the process.

Grind your tomatoes - yes, put them through the meat grinder.

      What will ...

      • come out is the base of the sause.

Grind some garlic as well, mix it and add some salt.

I usually use 2-3 garlic cloves on 10 medium-sized tomatoes, and at least 1 tablespoon of salt.

When you’ve mixed together the tomato stuff, garlic, and salt, your sauce is done.

        In order to cook the

stake, pour some of the sauce into a pot or frying pan, add approximately the same amount of sour cream and mix them.

Place your stake into the sauce and let simmer on low heat for 20-30 minutes, depending on the size of the stake.

Serve in the sauce or separate, with side dishes of your choice.
