AdventureQuest is an RPG (role playing game) made by Artix Entertainment. You are an adventurer from the town of Battleon, and you explore the world of Lore, battling with various enemies.

It’s a pretty general game where you can do lots of things, but I find that one of the worst things about AdventureQuest are the graphics. They are terrible, and look somewhat like cartoon anime imitations. Another bad factor is that there is a limit on the amount of free players that can log in

at once. Usually this lies at around four thousand to five thousand. They don’t tell you about this until you use up all your free logins (twenty four) and then, the twenty fifth time you try to log in, they tell you that you have to become a “Guardian” to log in. Guardians pay a one-time membership fee to have more access to different parts of the game along with better equipment.

The game is really easy to play and to learn, so once you get ...

      • started you can quickly get going on your leveling. It’s not really anything exciting, as you just click “attack” in different ways over and over again, making the game pretty monotonous after a while if all you do is fight. However, exploring around and learning about the different elements of the story help to relieve the boredom a bit, and allows you to unlock more things to do.

There are a couple of related games that the same company have released, such as AdventureQuest Worlds, an

MMORPG, Dragon Fable and Mechquest. Those are also worth checking out, as they have intertwining plotlines and to fully understand all the subtle references that the developers insert into each game, you have to play all of them.

I think that the only way you should play this game is by buying the Guardianship and to me, it’s not worth it. However, if you like this sort of game, you should try out AdventureQuest and decide for yourself whether you want to pay for it or not.
