  • What I love about the game is the gameplay mechanics and the story
  • You can dispatch your enemies in many ways, blast them back with the Force or electrocute them with lightening, there are lots of different combos to use and it makes for interesting gameplay that you can do quite a bit with
  • I like the fact that you can do whatever you want when it comes to what type of fighting style you want to take, and all the powers are upgradeable so you can make them stronger
  • Unfortunately there are some flaws with this game, the main one being the in-game camera, which tends to get stuck in corners during boss battles, and you can’t see your target very well because the camera won’t let you
  • I would probably recommend a rental, but if you’re a Star Wars fan you’ll probably buy it

The Force Unleashed is a Star Wars video game set in between Episodes III and IV, and tells the story of Darth Vader’s secret apprentice codenamed Starkiller. You the player, go on various secret missions for Darth Vader dispatching Jedi who survived the Jedi Purge that started in episode III.

What I love about the game is the gameplay mechanics and the story. Using the Wii-mote to swing your lightsaber is quite fun, and it responds to your movement, along with the nun chuck to control

your Force powers. You can dispatch your enemies in many ways, blast them back with the Force or electrocute them with lightening, there are lots of different combos to use and it makes for interesting gameplay that you can do quite a bit with. The environments are destructible and you can use them to attack your opponents. I like the fact that you can do whatever you want when it comes to what type of fighting style you want to take, and all the powers are upgradeable so you can make them stronger.

I like that the boss battles are rather hard and it does take some time to beat them. I also thought it was interesting that during parts of the battles you can be forced to make them “submit” by overpowering them with your Force powers by matching the image of the nun chuck or the Wii-mote on screen. If you are successful, you can do some serious damage to your opponent.

with this game, the main one being the in-game camera, which tends to get stuck in corners during boss battles, and you can’t see your target very well because the camera won’t let you. Picking up objects to throw at your opponents does not always work to your advantage since the game tends to not let you choose the object you want to throw. When you fight bosses, they knock you down and as you get back up they knock you down again and you
have to Force Dash to get a reasonable distance away to get your bearings again.

The game is pretty fun for a Star Wars fan, I like it a lot and enjoyed the game’s story line and it was an interesting game with good gameplay and a multiplayer mode, which makes it fun to duel your friends. The game does lack some polish but it is a pretty good game. I would probably recommend a rental, but if you’re a Star Wars fan you’ll probably buy it.

re : What I love about the game is the gameplay mechanics and the story
As a Star Wars fan, I was personally elated to get my hands on this game, and I was not disappointed at all. However, my favourite part of the game remains to be the story. Without revealing too much, this game was set in between Episode III and IV of the Star Wars series, and feels like a refreshing new story, unlike other games that try to recreate the movies. This creates a sense of excitement as I play through the game.

My favourite part about the game and its story, is that later on you get to decide on what decision you would like to make, which vastly changes how the game ends. The gameplay mechanics is not too bad either, with different abilities that you can use to eliminate your enemies, which adds to the already excellent replay value that the game offers. The physics included in the game is amazing, the animations quite fluid and arguably the most important, controls are well thought out. I personally have played the game countless of times because of how good the story and gameplay was. It feels like watching a movie yet being able to control certain aspects of it.

All in all, I feel that this game is a must have for Star Wars fans, but you don’t have to love Star Wars to appreciate how well rounded the game is. The game not only had a great story and plan, but also a commendable execution.

why would you ever rent a game

In the case of those who don’t want to (or don’t have the money to) buy the game itself, a rental may be an excellent option, particularly if you don’t know yet whether you’ll like the game.

I agree, the story is great and I think the gameplay is actually a bit better than the HD version.
