  • I was looking for a facial cleanser, when I spotted this trendy, upscale-looking compact on display, and after I took a closer look and sampled the colours, I didn’t think twice about spending the $40 that it cost
  • I have since used both together, with the Mineral Dust shade in the crease and the outer corner of the eyelid and the Goldstone Metallic on the rest of the eyelid, and I love the look-really sophisticated, smoky and seductive
  • I would recommend Bobbi Brown Goldstone Long-Wear Eye Palette to anyone that is looking for a smoky eye effect of eye makeup, and wants something a bit glamorous

I wasn’t planning on buying any makeup at all when I ended up purchasing Bobbi Brown Goldstone Long-Wear Eye Palette on my last visit to the cosmetics section at my local Sephora. I was looking for a facial cleanser, when I spotted this trendy, upscale-looking compact on display, and after I took a closer look and sampled the colours, I didn’t think twice about spending the $40 that it cost. First of all, I just have to mention how cool it looks, with a stainless steel-colour exterior with black trim. I admit to liking the appearance of cosmetics almost as well as the actually item. Secondly, inside the compact is sheer shine and glamour. Along with the

gel eyeliner that is so popular (I have it and it is divine!), there are two gorgeous smoky, chrome-like shades that make the ‘smoky eye’ effect that everyone wants for dressy occasions. The brush is for eyeliner at one end and the shadow at the other. The eye shadows are cream, which means long-lasting compared to powder, and both have shiny flecks of gold in them, which were sparkly on my wrist when I tried it out. The shades are called Goldstone Metallic and Mineral Dust. I couldn’t wait to take it home and try it out the next time I had somewhere nice to go.

I had an event to attend the following weekend, so I ...

      • tried out my new eye makeup then. I do admit to using the gel eyeliner well before then, because I was out and this really is the nicest eyeliner. I would describe the Goldstone Metallic as literally flecks of gold, and I was surprised that even with a cream formula, it went on my eyelid smoothly and really did sparkle, without being too clownish. I wore this shade the first night, and I loved it. It stayed on all night, and made my eyes really looked brighter than usual. The next time I had an occasion to go out, I tried the Mineral Dust shade. This one I would describe as bronze, with flecks of sparkle as
well. This one is darker, but not too dark, and it stayed on all night as well. I have since used both together, with the Mineral Dust shade in the crease and the outer corner of the eyelid and the Goldstone Metallic on the rest of the eyelid, and I love the look-really sophisticated, smoky and seductive.

I would recommend Bobbi Brown Goldstone Long-Wear Eye Palette to anyone that is looking for a smoky eye effect of eye makeup, and wants something a bit glamorous. The shades are great, and the cream formula lasts a long time. The gel eyeliner is also great, and for what you get, the price is very reasonable for such a high-quality product.
