You wouldn’t think it, but this episode is just as good as the part that preceded it. Why? Two words, the Joker.

Yes, Batman’s arch-nemesis finally makes an official appearance. Not only does he appear, but he offers to join forces with Batman to take down Owlman and clear his name. While this is certainly a lighter take than Hamill’s, he still has

menace about him so it’s not quite Ceaser Romero’s Joker.

The costume that Owlman dons looks an awful lot like the DCAU costume, which made it odd to hear Bader’s voice coming from that face.

As one would expect, Batman and Joker make excellent foils for one another. From Joker exclaiming “To the Batmobile!” to his joy at seeing his own ...

      • wing in the batcave, the pair make for great comedy.

The episode had all sorts of nods, from Batman’s plans to take down his allies should they fall under control (Tower of Babel), which of course fall into enemy hands, to Joker’s remorse over the fact that he is the way he is and there’s no changing at this point (The Killing Joke).

        The

action was great, the writing was top notch and the story was well plotted. It’s interesting to note that the writer of this episode was Joseph Kurr. Yeah, I”m not kidding, it’s kind of creepy if you think about it.

If you enjoyed the first part, you’ll enjoy this as well. It’s a solid episode that really allows the clown prince of crime to shine.
