This book is the 6th book in the Hardy Boys series, although it does not really matter in which order you read the books. This book has a fun amount of mystery for preteen boys, even though it was written

in the 60s and so has a very different feel to it from more modern books. The boys, on their motorcycles, encounter information about a new mystery by hearing about it on their police radio. And they are beginning to ...

      • work on another mystery for a friend of theirs when that friend is accused, along with his father, of being a car thief. The two encounter difficulties when their friend then disappears, making the entire community think the Hardy boys
friend actually was the thief. This story has a few different elements in it, with lots of mention of codes and a time limted treasure hunt. Of course, the boys and their friends use their skills and their muscle to eventually solve the mystery.
