This book for preteen boys is full of inventions and clues. The Hardy Boys, in their 15th case, must solve the mystery of several strange accidents where in the driver is

suddenly unable to see. There are difficulties with the story - the way they deciphered the clues in the letters makes no sense to me - there is a carbon paper ...

      • behind each letter, I understand that. But unless each carbon paper was especially made for the particular letter, I don’t know how the boys figured out which words were part of
the message. There are also horses, and the horse farm that the boys’ Aunt Gertrude has inherited is strangely tied up in the mystery. Another coincidence, and this is one among many.
