This second season offering from the hit series Lost offers us a rare grouping of characters as Kate, Rosseau and Claire head off into the jungle to help the young mother fit the pieces together from her disappearance in the first season.

As the episode begins, Claire begins suffering alarming flashbacks to her time in the custody of the Others. After

psychiatrist Libby steps into help her piece together these hazy memories with some regression therapy, even more alarming threads come back and Claire is adament she has to head into the jungle.

After Kate steps into help and enlists the aid of the crazy French woman, the trio head out to the Staff, a medical facility hidden away deep in the ...

      • jungle, where Claire learns more about her time with the Others and provides Danielle with some promising information that her daughter is alive and well.

This is a strong episode - it’s light on the action, but thankfully light on the less exciting aspects of the so-so second season. The shake up in the cast is a good one, giving the

somewhat underused Kate (this season anyway) time to shine as she steps into lead the all girl group, and Rousseau makes a welcome routine. It’s Claire who really shines though, giving the actress some time to really deliver some gutsy dialogue and performances that bring her out from the fringes and make us take note of her character once again.

        Highly recommended.
