The vast majority of this issue is a slugfest between Ursa and Flamebird. Nightwing is down for the count and Flamebird kinda gets her clock cleaned. By kinda gets her clock cleaned, I mean she really gets her clock cleaned. It aint pretty.

Ursa proves herself to be as equal a threat on a psychological level as a physical

one. She manipulates people in order to make them scared or angry and subsequently make a mistake. The inner monologue shows her to be quite the sadist.

It’s revealed that Nightwing is, in fact, an aged Chris. I don’t know how he got older, they make reference to mutation but the details aren’t clear.

      Nightwing decides to wait ...

      • until Flamebird is down, poisoned by Kryptonite before he finally gets up and comes to her aid. He threatens Ursa with the same Krytonite knife that was used on Flamebird before relinquishing, saying that Superman wouldn’t kill her, so he wouldn’t either.

He takes Flamebird out of the fortress, which somehow collapses and leaves Ursa for dead. He

takes her to Lois’ apartment asking for help. Jimmy has a quick cameo that allows them to bring up the 7734 government program that he’s been tracking, but that’s about all he does.

Kind of a gruesome issue, as I said, Flamebird’s beat down is quite brutal, but in a fist fight between two Kryptonians, there’s bound to be some blood spilt.
