Dollywood’s Splash Country is a lot of fun for the whole family. The lazy river is enjoyable to float and relax in the sun as long as it’s not busy. When the park is busy it is hard to find an available floats, people who are trying to paddle faster are bumping into you, and there are kids swimming with out tubes everywhere. The only way to relax on busy days is to hit the lazy river as soon as the park opens.

Many of rides at Dollywood’s Splash County are like most amusement parks, long lines. What makes Splash Country lines awful is the long upward climb you have to make

in the hot sun. Most of the rides are not handicap friendly. If you can’t make the climb you can’t ride. Most of the lines are in full sun as well, which make having to wait in a long line going up hill very difficult.

Eating at Dollywood’s Splash Country is crazy. The food prices change all the time, most of the time they increase in price. This year to eat at the park it would cost at least $10 per person for hotdog, fries, and a drink. Many people eat packed lunches out in the parking lot. There are a few tables outside the gates to sit at and a few ...

      • shady grassy areas as well. There is a reusable cup that sells for more then the regular cup that refills for only $.99 and that help to make it through the hot days. This year the cups were $14.99 each. We spent over $40 just in buying the cups, but they paid for themselves with the refills. I would never pay to eat there. Either leave and go to a local restaurant for lunch or take a picnic lunch.

In the first kid’s area there are many chairs to sit in the sun and watch the kids play. There are also a few chairs with near by water spouts so you can

get wet sitting in your chair as the kids play. There is a second kid’s area with an open pool, water toys, and small water slide. Both of these kids area are a great place to relax from the long hot lines. There is also a toddler pool, but I don’t have toddler so I haven’t visit this pool.

Overall I like to visit Dollywood’s Splash Country located in Pigeon Forge, TN. I try to avoid the days that are really busy or spend most of my time in the kid’s area on busy days. The park’s rides are a lot of fun, but it is hard to make the climb up to the start of the rides.
