Beast Wars - Other Visits, Part 2 is superior to the first part, but I have to say, this episode does not offer any answers to the questions set up in the first half. For example, why did the aliens return? Why is the alien structure not manned? How was Megatron so easily able to take control over the alien vessel? Despite those questions, I find this episode has quite a lot of good battle scenes, especially the

one on one battle between Megatron and Optimus.

Plus, the dialogue exchange between Optimus and Megatron is very enjoyable as well.

The dialogue in general is very solid and entertaining.

I liked how Tarantulas formed an uneasy alliance with the Maximals to get back at Megatron for his betrayal earlier in the episode.

I feel that the CGI in this episode is quite outstanding even though the alien vessel is pretty devoid of objects.

      Still, the exterior and ...

      • interior both look fantastic.

I find it odd that Megatron seems so confident that the alien vessel would be an overwhelming weapon against Cybertron especially since he actually spent very little time in it.

His decision to take it back to Cybertron also contradicts what his later plans are revealed to be and what he intends on doing on Earth.

I also did not like how even after this two part episode, nothing new is revealed about the

        aliens.

The show never quite explains just why the aliens have such an interest in the planet and why they keep running experiments and at times attempt to destroy all life on it.

The aliens represent a great threat - but they would be and even greater threat if their motives were revealed.

The action and the dialogue is what makes this part superior to the first, but it still could have been better in a number of ways.
