I’m not a hugh Jean-Claude Van Damme fan so when I watched this movie, I was already thinking I wasn’t going to be impressed by it. I was right.
It was an
OK movie but you could tell it was made in the late 80s when karate movies were becoming all the rage. The fight scenes were decent and full of blood and gore,
which would appeal to a person who is watching just for the fights. However, the overall plot of the movie was a bit confusing and the non-fighting scenes seemed rushed, like the
producers realized nobody really cared about the overall plot and just wanted to get to the carnage.
I think it proves my point that you just don’t see Van Damme in too many movies any more.
