In one of my retail therapy moments, I bumped into this perfume. I have never tried Donna Karan except her apparels. I have tested “Be Delicious” and it was too ordinary for me. That preconceived notion of my gave me that DKNY scents are not that brilliant. One of my close friends has been wearing that scent and for me it was just too fruity. It is might because I smell it almost everyday with her. It was like almost eating the same meal everyday and so with so much exposure to it, I thought it was poor in terms of creativity. It was really a bias on my part. I never tried or considered any fragrance from Donna Karan since then. I was eager to learn about it when I was shopping one time so

I asked the sales lady to give me a tester. Then I appreciated it right then and there.

The packaging was in superfluous “gold”. The box was gold coated with the font used for the Donna Karan logo. The bottle was transparent in square form. The flacon was black. The entire appearance is sublime, it is inspired with such great admiration and very glorious. I like the entire concept because it gave me a pretty picture to it. Albeit it was traditional but it was formal. You easily get convinced when you see it. The only thing I am questioning is the cohesiveness of the entire appearance to the matching fragrance. My opinion on the fragrance will be discussed in the next paragraph and to be succinct I would like to describe it as lovely and ...

      • I liked it. When you look into the appearance of this perfume, you would always judge this to be for mature people but it is not. I thought the color should have been more subdued and of course they should not use the word “gold sparkling” as a name because it would be inconsistent. Plus the flacon should not be black because the scent is so light and lovely so I thought that subdued colors and should be appropriate.

This scent starts citrusy but sweet and a little minty. There are hints of orange and patchouli. Then the segue was floral with charming notes of black locust, jasmine, carnation and lilac. It was a pretty abundance of flowers which is really calming to your senses as well fresh for a female scent. Then the dry down is

almost the same but a little bit of amber is noticeable. The fragrance is really impressive in terms of its composition. There were lots of outstanding notes. There were lots of notes which really flourished the scent and it really made the composition chic and inspiring. I think this scent really stood out and its classification as a floral scent was something that you can easily dissect or single out as Donna Karan and not mistake it for another scent. And regarding its strength, this perfume can lasts for hours yet the same intensity of being a floral scent is still manifested. This is one of those scents which I can say that even if the classification is floral, it can stays in your body for many hours. This scent really changed my perception on Donna Karan scents.
