      I picked up a hair styling product this week, Herbal Essences Body Envy Volumizing Mousse, because it was on sale for $2.99 and I had tried the Body Envy line of shampoos and conditioners. I found that the shampoos and conditioners had a nice scent that stayed all day, and although they didn’t perform miracles, I liked them well enough to try the mousse. I liked the scent when

      I first put the mousse in my hands, and applied it to my wet hair as directed. It says that the scent is sunset citrus with white nectarine and pink coral flower, but I smelt an orange aroma, and it was very nice. So, after applying it and blow-drying my hair as directed (the bottle says to use a ‘finger-style’ diffuser on low heat, these are my observations:

      • -this mousse is light and is easy to apply -the scent is wonderful -it does add some lift to my hair -it is not sticky or hard once hair is dry -I could comb my hair easily, unlike some other items that make combing difficult -it did not dry my hair out -it retained my style all day -the price is very inexpensive

        The Negative: -the scent doesn’t last long,

        not even an hour -my hair was slightly frizzy after drying -there is not a noticeable thickening or fullness to my hair, aside from the slight ‘lift’ -once I combed it later that day, my hair became flat

        To summarize, although the price is extremely low and it did keep my style most of the day, Body Envy Volumizing Mousse does not live up to its promise of boosting body all day and adding a long-lasting scent. I have used better mousses.
