  • I found it in the same aisle as my beloved Icy Hot and ThermaCare products and wondered what good they could possibly be that an extra pair of socks wasn't also successful at achieving
  • After that weekend, I decided I could definitely give these Grabber Warmers Foot Warmers a shot, especially when my husband asked if we could go camping again with some friends the following weekend, so I already knew the weather would require something extra special
  • I didn't like the idea of falling asleep at night wearing my shoes, I don't care how warm these are supposed to keep my feet, so I bought a pair of high warm and insulated booties on sale at a shoe store
  • Problem with these insulated slippers and booties is that they make my feet sweat, so I was hoping the foot warmers would dry it out enough to prevent this from being a problem

I have to say I wasn’t immediately convinced by the idea of a foot warmer. I found it in the same aisle as my beloved Icy Hot and ThermaCare products and wondered what good they could possibly be that an extra pair of socks wasn’t also successful at achieving. However, when my husband approached me with the option of going on an October camping trip last year, I was a little hesitant to go because it was a chilly 38 degrees at night, and I get cold very easily, especially my feet. I’m the type who tends to take upwards of an hour or longer, after crawling into bed, for my feet to warm up to a standard suitable for my husband! And this is in indoor conditions in which our heater is running in the middle of winter, so I couldn’t imagine how uncomfortable I would be camping in colder Michigan weather.

And, of course, I WAS miserable. My feet were so cold, and as is typical of the feet, when they are cold, the rest of your body feels

cold as well. There didn’t seem to be any way to get the rest of me warm, when my feet were so cold, and it didn’t matter how many pairs of socks I had on my feet. After that weekend, I decided I could definitely give these Grabber Warmers Foot Warmers a shot, especially when my husband asked if we could go camping again with some friends the following weekend, so I already knew the weather would require something extra special.

The foot warmers pack comes with three pairs for less than $10. I figured this isn’t such a bad investment if it keeps me comfortable for the three nights we’d be out there camping. You’re supposed to use them inside a pair of shoes or boots, and not use them with well ventilated things, such as socks alone. I didn’t like the idea of falling asleep at night wearing my shoes, I don’t care how warm these are supposed to keep my feet, so I bought a pair of high warm and insulated booties on sale at a shoe store. These ...

      • have a sole on them, so I could even keep them on if I had to get up and hit the bathroom in the middle of the night, and they were insulated enough I could use the foot warmers with them. Problem with these insulated slippers and booties is that they make my feet sweat, so I was hoping the foot warmers would dry it out enough to prevent this from being a problem. In cold weather, you sweat because you are cold, but if you are nice and warm in cold weather, tada!, no sweat.

This product is supposed to last about 5 hours, maybe longer, and you shouldn’t use it when you’re sleeping, but I figured a good night of rest was worth it. After all, when I’m camping, I’m up when the sun is up, but don’t hit the sheets until at least midnight, so I’m usually only sleeping for about 5 hours as it is, therefore, no danger of keeping the footies on longer than required. And I have to say, I LOVE this product. I immediately felt

the warmth when I stuck them in my booties, and I would switch out the ones I used at night and put in a fresh pair in my shoes during the day, if it was also a particularly cold day. But, if they stayed nice and dry and warm at night, then I didn’t have any problem keeping them that way, even without the footies, during the day. I will NOT go camping again during cold weather, without this product within arms reach. When we got back from camping that weekend, I ended up heading to the store and grabbing five more boxes of these things, and I’ve got them stored here in the house. I used them a couple times during the winter, when I just couldn’t seem to get my feet warm, and they work just as good as having a space heater aimed right at your feet. And, when my feet are warm, I don’t even need a blanket for the rest of my body. These are miracle warmers. I don’t know how or why they work, but they do!
