  • This was an interesting experiment in marketing
  • I think it would've been better if they had hired different actors and actresses to voice each character
  • If you're a fan of the comic and aren't picking up the mega-set, than you should definitely check this out
  • I thought the movie was pretty darn faithful to the book, but this goes the whole nine and doesn't cut or alter anything

This was an interesting experiment in marketing. One third comic book, one third cartoon, and one third audiobook. This takes the iconic graphic novel and converts it into a sort of flash animation.

You get all the dialogue and narration, the boxes even pop up, which is surprising considering you hear all of it spoken to you.

At first, I wasn’t a fan of the animation style but it grew on me. It really gives it the feel of a comic book. It’s

not a straight up cartoon so the movement is a bit stiff but it seems to work here for some reason I can’t really explain.

It’s all performed by one guy. He does a decent job for the most part, but his Silk Spectre really leaves something to be desired. I think it would’ve been better if they had hired different actors and actresses to voice each character.

For people who weren’t fans of the film adaptation, I think you’ll like this. It ...

      • divides each chapter into a half hour segment, making the total six hours long. If you thought the movie was way too slow, this won’t help, although breaking it into 12 episodes (one per chapter) might make it a bit easier to take in.

You really get your money’s worth with this. However, I would recommend waiting. I’m 90% sure that this will be included with the five disc mega-set that’s going to be released in December. You will

most likely be better off picking that up.

If you’re a fan of the comic and aren’t picking up the mega-set, than you should definitely check this out. It’s pretty neat.

I thought the movie was pretty darn faithful to the book, but this goes the whole nine and doesn’t cut or alter anything. You get Watchmen in it’s entirity.

Even better, it has the squid. Yes, the squid is there so you need not worry about the ending because it’s there, squid and all.
