  • The battle that occurs between the real Dinobot and Megatron is also brief and unfortunately nothing like the fight in Chain of Command
  • I simply feel though that the story is not all that interesting or memorable and several events occur because it is convenient and necessary for the plot to play out in the way that it does

Beast Wars - Double Dinobot is an episode that offers up some comedy here and there and a decent, albeit not very fresh story idea as well as one of the few battles fought throughout the series that occur in beast forms. In this episode, Megatron succeeds in creating a clone of Dinobot - a clone that is unable to transform into robot mode.

He releases the clone after Terrorsaur supposedly disposes of the real Dinobot.

      The clone then proceeds to

try and get all the Maximals out of the base so that he can turn it over to Megatron.

The plan appears to work right up until the last few minutes of the show.

The ending is hilarious - one of the funniest moments of the series! This episode also offers an enjoyable, although somewhat short, encounter between the two Dinobots that involves a little comedy and a brief battle that involves elements of the Maximal bridge.

      The battle that occurs ...

      • between the real Dinobot and Megatron is also brief and unfortunately nothing like the fight in “Chain of Command”.

I also found it unfortunate how poorly the battle between Terrorsaur and Dinobot was.

Dinobot fires at Terrorsaur several times, yet repeatedly misses.

As a skilled warrior, I would have expected his aim to be better.

Despite Dinobot being my favorite character, this is not one of my favorite episodes of the series and really, I find it to be average with

the exception of a few shining moments here and there.

There is probably more comedy than action in this story, which is fine because when comedy is used on the show, it is generally handled quite well and this episode is no exception.

I simply feel though that the story is not all that interesting or memorable and several events occur because it is convenient and necessary for the plot to play out in the way that it does.

Still, I did enjoy this episode.
