  • However if it had been that we didn't already have plans we would have stayed longer definitely
  • The room cost £90 per night per room, which I thought was quite reasonable and the service from the staff was second to none
  • All in all I would highly recommend this hotel for a quiet break

We recently went on holiday to Wales and decided to stay a couple of nights in different hotels in different towns just for ease of sightseeing really.

Having stayed in Tenby, Wales over twelve years ago, it was nice to make a return trip to the area again after such a long time.

When we holidayed there previously we stayed in Tenby town centre itself but decided this time to stay near by and came across this charming looking hotel in Laugharne, which is twelve miles from the town centre.

As we pulled up to the hotel in the car I was taken in by the beautiful, rural

backdrop of it’s surroundings. It looks like a mini castle in it’s own little garden and I half expected to see a moat around it with a drop bridge..but alas there wasn’t one!

On entering the hotel the foyer is quite spacious and has friendly staff at the reception desk.

We stayed in a ground room floor which was a basic twin room. It was clean and tidy, and was decorated in modern reds and taupe colours.

The rooms were quite basic, but that wasn’t a bad thing. There was tea and coffee making facilities, an alarm clock, a television and wireless internet connection, along with a very nice ...

      • bathroom (with a bath and a shower), that again was very clean and tidy.

We only stayed in this hotel for one night as we were driving to another destination the following day to meet friends. However if it had been that we didn’t already have plans we would have stayed longer definitely.

The room cost £90 per night per room, which I thought was quite reasonable and the service from the staff was second to none. They were always smiling and friendly and were very helpful.

The hotel has a restaurant, bar and lounge, and though we didn’t eat our evening meal there we did sample the cooking

the following morning with their complimentary breakfast which was wonderful (Full english breakfast) and cooked to perfection.

The hotel is a lovely place to stay if you want some peace and quiet and relaxation time, but it’s not for party animals as it is set in grounds aimed at peolpe booking wedding services there.

It is an idylic background for wedding photos and services can be perfomed there too - the staff will help you if you were planning your to take your vows there.

All in all I would highly recommend this hotel for a quiet break..however take a book with you as it’s not near any visitor attractions!
