  • Unfortunately, Blackarachnia is not given much time to shine in her introductory episode because there is another storyline at play in this episode that involves what appears to be Rattrap switching sides
  • That, I found really difficult to swallow
  • Overall, I think the writers do a fairly decent job juggling all three story threads in roughly twenty-three or so minutes, and the final battle that takes place near the end is one that is short, but nonetheless entertaining

Beast Wars - Double Jeopardy is the second episode of the series to introduce a new character. In the previous episode, the Maximals received a new member, and in this episode, it is the Predicons that receive a new fighter.

Unfortunately, Blackarachnia is not given much time to shine in her introductory episode because there is another storyline at play in this episode that involves what appears to be Rattrap switching sides.

Not only that, but Terrorsaur again

betrays Megatron and seizes control of the Predicon forces.

That, I found really difficult to swallow.

How many times must Terrosaur betray Megatron before Megatron takes him offline for good? It is not like Terrorsaur is very valuable as he never seems to perform well as a soldier and does not have any other special abilities.

What is nice about this episode is that, for a change, much of the episode takes place at the Predicon base.

      For ...

      • the first time really, the Predicons take center stage and the viewer is given a better idea of just how things are done in a Predicon world.

The viewer is also treated to a better idea of what the Predicon base looks like, because usually, all that is seen is the main control area.

Overall, I think the writers do a fairly decent job juggling all three story threads in roughly twenty-three or so minutes, and the final

battle that takes place near the end is one that is short, but nonetheless entertaining.

This episode also marks the beginning of Tarantulas’ plan to come across any fallen stasis pod and transform the protoform into a Predican arachnid so that he could create his own faction.

This will be followed up on and developed as the series progresses.

I did enjoy this episode more than the previous episode that introduced Tigertron and I feel this episode entertains well enough.
