Year One features Jack Black as Zed, a bumbling hunter who is outcast from the rest of the hunters, and Michael Cera as Oh, the only male gatherer in the tribe. The two best friends end up causing the entire tribe’s camp to burn to the ground, and they are then hunted by their former

tribe mates as the two try to run away.

As they run from their home, they encounter many Biblical figures.

The first people they meet on their escape are Cain and Abel.

The two friends witness a grisly fight, which ends with Cain murdering Abel in a field.

Abel then invites Zed and Oh back ...

      • to his hut for supper, which leads to a very humorous scene.

        >From there they find their way to the city of Sodom where they discover that their former tribe mates were taken as slaves.

The two try to devise a plan to save the people they once lived with, which also leads to scenes

        that will have you chuckling.

Eventually, after overcoming many obstacles that could have led to their deaths, the two men finally succeed at something.

You’ll have to watch the movie to see what it is!

The movie is very silly, and is probably most appreciated by a younger audience, but we enjoyed it and found ourselves laughing quite a bit.
