  • At first I found the graphire tablet to be a bit awkward, because it's not like using a pencil and piece of paper, where you can see exactly what you're drawing and where
  • As an additional feature, the tablet can be used as a mouse outside of drawing/art programs, which is really convenient when a person wants to leap around the screen

As an aspiring artist I like to experiment with different technologies in order to give my work the best quality possible. Recently I’ve been interesting in rendering my work on my computer, but I found that my mouse was really awkward and that I was constantly messing up when I was colouring something that I had drawn.

It was also difficult to actually get my images on the computer, as

      I don’t have a scanner.

Inspired to find something that would allow me to work with more accuracy, I went out and bought the Wacom Graphire Tablet, which is a device that plugs into the USB port on your computer and allows you to draw directly onto the computer.

At first I found the graphire tablet to be a bit awkward, because it’s not like using a pencil and piece of paper,

      • where you can see exactly what you’re drawing and where.

What is actually seen is the drawing on the computer screen.

It’s a bit frustrating at first, but after some practice, it actually wasn’t all that different from simple drawing.

The tablet also allows an artist to colour with more accuracy than would be possible with a mouse.

As an additional feature, the tablet can be used as a

mouse outside of drawing/art programs, which is really convenient when a person wants to leap around the screen.

It’s almost like having a touch screen at your fingertips.

Overall, I really enjoy using the tablet.

I find it to be very innovative and comfortable, and easier to use for drawing when scanning isn’t possible.
