“Burial Ground: The Nights of Terror” is so bad that I have to laugh… out loud as a matter of fact. This film is another one of those Italian zombie grindhouse flicks released in the transition between the 1970s and the 1980s. There were plenty of others too such as “Zombi

2″ (perhaps the most superior of all of them), “Night of the Zombies”, “The Beyond”, and “Zombie Holocaust” to name a few.

“Burial Ground” begins with a professor who’s dressed up like Jesus himself studying an old cemetery crypt when he accidentally releases a curse involving a bunch of old and rotten zombies from way back when. Next thing you know, they’re after a group of out-of-towners who are spending their vacation at a mansion ...

      • in the forest.

There’s enough about this movie that will make you want to both laugh and cry. First off, it’s littered with horrible dubbing all over the place; secondly, the zombies are laughably bad, they all look the same, like a bunch of Skeletor clones dressed in Jedi garbs (they’re smart however as they can make good use of weapons apparently); and most notorious of all is the casting of a middle aged dwarf (Peter

Bark) who plays a child who lusts after an incestuous relationship with his very own mother (who is the hottest woman in the entire cast), even after he becomes a zombie.

Of course, being that all of the characters in this movie are stupid and seemingly have no desire to ‘actually’ fight for their lives, they each get what they deserve in the end for their own lack of intelligence. This movie belongs in its own ‘Burial Ground’.
