The show really started to take a turn for the worst in this season, starting with the departure of long-time main stay Radar. At least they made a point of writing him off the

show, unlike what they did with Trapper John earlier in the series, but after his character left, the show really began to change. For one, Klinger suddenly found he was good at being company ...

      • clerk and suddenly liked the Army, which later led to him no longer wearing dresses (eliminating another long-running joke). And, Major Winchester, by the end of the season, was starting to be a nice
guy, starting with the episode in which he helps a wounded piano player get around his inability to use one hand. The dreams episode (which you rarely see on television)reminded me a lot of Gilligan’s Island’s dream sequences.
