It is good to surprise your family, or if you are so fond of throwing out big dinners, your guests, with exciting, yet amazingly delicious recipes once in a while. Not only you stir up the excitement in everybody’s dining experience, yet also give room to try new foods that might turn out to be someone else’s favourite.

If you yourself haven’t tried making Fried Pigeons, it doesn’t really take that much to make it. You’ll be surprised on how an amazingly good and exciting food can be so easy to make. And all you’ll be needing to prepare this meal are the following:

(Please note that I have to put this list in order so it will be easier for you to follow) half a cup of soy sauce, a cup of water, 2 tablespoons of rice wine, a tablespoon of sugar, 2 bay leaves, 2 pigeons or squabs (dressed), a tablespoon of honey or corn syrup, cooking oil for deep fat frying, ¼ lemon (sliced) and pepper-salt.

Let us start off with the pepper salt. You simple have to toss a tablespoon of salt in a dry saucepan for about 2 minutes, and add 2 teaspoons of black pepper. Cook them together until extremely hot and ...

      • smoking.

Okay, going back to the main recipe, you have to combine the first five pre-measured ingredients (soy sauce, water, rice wine, sugar and bay leaves). Bring then all to a boil. Cook the pigeons along with the mixture for about 15 minutes. Note that you have to turn then occasionally. When it’s done, remove them from heat and allow to cool. Rub the honey on the pigeons and let stand for another 15 minutes. Put the pigeons then in a strainer or frying basket, and lower them in extremely hot oil. Spoon some of the oil over the pigeons. Deep fry for

about 2 minutes. After removing the pigeons from the oil, chop them into serving pieces and arrange on a platter. Garnish then with lemon slices and serve with the peppers salt we made earlier.

Making Fried Pigeons may not be as quick as other meals, but the results are so worth it. This is one recipe you would be so excited to serve to your guests as I have proven this to work almost a hundred percent, I have no doubt at all that your guests will love this! It does need a little effort to make great meals, but it’s so worth it!
