  • Overall, I would give the game 8 out of 10 because it has amazing graphics and sound quality, but lacks the originality we expect and love from the Resident Evil series

Resident Evil is one of the most groundbreaking video game series to date, but its latest release, Resident Evil 5 doesn’t quite live up to those claims. The game, while intensely fun and engaging, is a familiar plot loaded with familiar faces.

In Resident Evil 5, you play as Chris Redfield, formerly of S.T.A.R.S. and an old friend from the earlier games, and are partnered with Sheva Alomar, a member of the B.S.A.A. The game play is

a little different thanks to the addition of the partner, but I liked being able to play with a friend. In the harder difficulties, the A.I. partner can become a liability as she tends to run into trouble or leave you stranded at the most inopportune times. The control scheme is simple enough to use; I personally like the D-pad feature, it allows you to switch between the items in the top row middle column, the middle row left and right columns, and the bottom row middle column. This enables you to switch between weapons near seamlessly and, during some of the more heated boss battles, can mean the difference between life and death.

The setting for this game is Kijuju, Africa. Here we encounter mangini, the enemies infected by an advanced strain of Las Plagas. There are many subtypes of mangini, including some that sprout gigantic worm-like heads after being shot, and ...

the series’ old standby, the infected dogs. The plot and enemies are the biggest drawbacks from the game; instead of the horror we have come to expect from Resident Evil, this installment is more of an action game with some interesting plot twists.

I own the Xbox 360 version of the game and think the graphics and sound effects are awesome. The weapons offered in the game are pretty neat. My favorite is the L. Hawk magnum.

There are several of each weapon type available throughout the game and for purchase. These include: handguns, shotguns, machine guns, rifles, and magnums. There is also a Gatling gun available for Chris, a longbow for Sheva, and a few other little trinkets for your mangini killing needs.

Overall, I would give the game 8 out of 10 because it has amazing graphics and sound quality, but lacks the originality we expect and love from the Resident Evil series.

So Good So Scary Resident Evil 7 is an awesome experience of a game. So much different than past installments of the series. Any true horror fan will respect this game for what it is. There are elements of the previous games in part 7, but it seems to be a bit more stand alone-ish all things considered. There are brand new characters, and a brand new storyline.
While there are characters that have some to do with the original story, which I don’t want to give away, because of spoilers… There’s still a lot of new things to discover about the series by playing this game. The storyline is actually pretty simple, but super scary The family that you must go face to face with are creepy, and the monsters (called the molded) are also super creepy.
Without giving to much away the storyline goes like this: Ethan, the protagonist gets a message from his wife that’s been missing for 2 years to come help her. This leads Ethan to a scary mansion in Louisiana. Upon arrival Ethan is ambushed and taken hostage by a creepy family that has also kidnapped his wife. The plot gets very scary from there. There’s not a whole lot of weapons like in previous versions, however I feel this makes the game scarier. There’s always a feeling of dread, and anticipation because of how more realistic this installment is compared to the others. I loved this game, and really hope this is the direction Capcom continues the series.

I can say this game kept me entertained for the most part. It has the gory aspects of resident evil you want but it doesn t have to originality of the pop outs and the what s going to happen next scare to it. I reach for resident evil 2 overall
