This is a great breast pump that I highly recommend to any woman who wants to give their child breast milk, but cannot or chooses not to breastfeed directly for some reason
It is not as gentle or effective as a hospital grade breast pump, but those are expensive to rent (from what I know, in this area, at least, you cannot purchase a hospital grade breast pump for home use) quite a bit bigger, and more difficult to care for, so the Medela Pump in Style Advanced is, in my opinion, your best choice
It is a bit on the expensive side, and will cost you around $300.00, but when you think about it, it really is not that much if your other option was formula, which can be quite costly
It also comes in a very convenient carrying case - either a backpack or a shoulder bag
Like I said, it is not a hospital quality pump, but it will do what you need it to do, and it is the best pump that you will be able to buy at your local baby store

This pump comes with many features, including a manual breast pump, which I never used, but was thankful to have just in case.
It also comes in a very convenient carrying case - either a backpack or a shoulder bag.
The bags keep everything you need: battery pack, pump, hoses, freezer bag, bottles, etc.
It is excellent for traveling with.
With my Medela Pump in StyleAdvanced, I flew from Eastern Canada to Los Angeles, California and I used my backpack Medela Pump as my carry-on.
I was able to pump throughout my trip, with everything I needed safely stored in the backpack carrying case either on my back or ...
in the bottom of my daughter’s stroller.
When I was done pumping, and we were out on the road, I would put the milk in the insulated bag, which held the ice pack that the pump came with, and the milk would be good for hours.
I did not have to throw any of my hard earned, pumped milk away on that ten-day trip thanks to this pump and it’s many accessories.
Like I said, it is not a hospital quality

I did get sore nipples from it, but I also got these from my Ameda double breast pump, which I used for two months, and it was easily solved by buying some lanolin cream.
Great product and I used it every four hours, day and night, for a year without it giving me any issues.
