I recevied this game from a friends a year ago and just begun to play it. So far it’s alright it has its ups and downs. I could have lived with out it, but its still a moderately interesting game.

The game overall has a deep plot that coincides with the original Lord of the Rings trilogy very well. Including all the well known and relatable heroes. The game is a 3d Real-Time Strategy. In which you can either control the Evil or Good

      side.

The pros for this game out-weigh the cons but they still stand.

Pros: A decent amount of units to select from and their ability’s vary greatly so units are not repetitive.

Heroes have a large variety of moves and are needed for success.

A large variety of difficulties of play Terrain and NPC’s have a great impact on armies.

      Very Unique Races

Every unit / race is very very different and each must be mastered for success.

Heroes are fun to play and ...

      • have alot of interesting moves.

Terrain has various shrines and elevation changes that give and edge in combat.

        Cons.

Very Few Maps Only two races Online Capabilities no longer exist Short Campaigns

The graphics were stunning when i got it, but now as technology has progressed they have been way surpassed.

I was depressed when i discovered i couldn’t challenge opponents online which is a key factor of the game. The game gives a link for a way to play online, but i only ended

up with a program that did nothing and is still stuck on my hard drive.

The maps are few and have minimal differences.

I would say I’m overall indifferent about the game. It cost at the time about $30 but must be ordered online now and has been taken off the shelfs of many stores because it is outdated.

Would really be a great gift to those with an obsession for LOTR but wouldnt buy it for any other reason.
