Pets Pray for Truth is a story by Elnora Watters. The story is about Bobby and Mike, their dogs, and their lies. Bobby and Mike walked their dogs at the park but Bobby asked Mike to play on the swings.

The two tied their dogs on the bench while they have fun playing. Queenie and Spot tied at the bench went recalling how the owners used them

to make excuses for their activities and in the end just leaving the poor two of them behind.

Spot told about Missy, their neighbor’s cat and how she prays which they thought they can also pray whatever it means. The two dogs lay down and went to sleep.

They were left by their owners on the park and the next morning, the fathers of the owners went ...

      • looking for them. The boys told a lie about the dogs running away but it backfired since the two dogs were still at the park, tied.

The two boys got punished and Queenie suggested asking Missy more about this thing called prayer and hoped for the owners to finally have fun with them. This story gave me the weirdest imagination about animals praying.

        It was really different.

The idea of having animals pray and wish blended with how the author wrote the story.

The story made me pity the animals but I ended up smiling as the dogs and owners finally got what should be for them. Animal’s innocence is really strange yet fascinating.

The author should continue to make stories like this. Short but the moral gives a good boost on the story.
