From someone who has been coming to this amusement park as well as seen it all backstage as an employee, I can tell you a lot about this park. It has definitely changed over the years, some in a good way and others not so much. I am going to tell you about this park strictly as a guest going there just to have a good time, since that is how most of you would go to this park.

This parked used to be called “The Great Escape and Splashwater Kingdom” and many people still go by this name for the park. A few years back, Six Flags bought it, and ever since then it has become more and more like a Six Flags Park. Things like “Luney Tunes National Park” which is really good for the little kids and the Justice League have been added. I think these additions to the park have made it more of a family park,

more for all ages. They have rollercoasters for the older people and kiddie rides for the younger visiters.

It’s also really cool that they have both an amusement park and a water park all in one! And you only have to pay one price! Some of the other Six Flags parks make you pay one admission for the park itself and then another admission for the water park. That is quite ridiculous.

Another great thing about this park is that they added a sky coaster. You have to pay an additional price for it, but you have to everywhere else as well. And, it’s definitely worth the money. You can have up to three people ride at a time and they basically take you up into the air some-odd feet, and then someone pulls a “string” and then you come swinging down. It’s scary at first but once you start swinging, it’s really fun. I did it once, but I might ...

      • be too afraid to actually do it again. It’s definitely something to try if you haven’t ever tried it before.

This park also has things like the go-garts, also an additional price, but are pretty fun. And they added a few more rides this past year to make it more like a six flags park. I haven’t been on them in this park, but I have in other parks.

However, the worse part about this park is its prices. They are absolutely outrageous! If you want to buy a small coke, it’s $3.20. And that’s only for 16 ounces! You go to the store and buy a 20 ounce bottle, it’s like $1.25. Another aweful thing is that they do not allow you to bring in any of your own beverages or food unless it is an unopened water bottle or an empty water bottle that you can fill once you enter the park. I understand that this is so no one

sneaks alcohol into the park through a water bottle, but that shouldn’t mean that unopened bottles of coke can’t be brought in! I know they need to make a profit, but they make things so expensive that it makes people not want to go there again. They should either lower the price a bit or let people bring in their own drinks.

This is a good park to go to in you have the money. It’s kind of a thing where you go once a year and that’s it, unless you have a seasons pass. The price seems to be increasing every year, but if you can afford to buy a seasons pass for your family, it might just be cheaper for you since it comes with a booklet of coupons for attractions, food, drink, and retail items. You will just have to see what you and your family can afford. Hope you enjoy your time if you decide to go!
