I have read the book ‘The haunted bridge’ written by Carolyn Keene. This book is one among the Nancy Drew series. As are all other Nancy Drew books, this book is also an interesting one and a typical mystery story.

The title for the book suits it well. Nancy comes to know of a bridge which is supposed to be haunted. The belief

is that the bridge is being guarded by a ghost. This naturally arouses the interest of Nancy. Is it true that a ghost is guarding the bridge? If not, then what could be really happening at the bridge? These are the questions which naturally haunt any reader.

Nancy visits the bridge and sees and hears several strange things. She hears horrible noises, frightening sounds.

      • It also happens that she sees a bright object that was buried. Fortunately, it was a bit exposed. It was a very costly and shining jewellery item. This discovery of Nancy makes the mystery more and more interesting.

As usual, Nancy is courageous and determined. There are many frightening things happening around the bridge. But Nancy continues with the case and goes along intelligently.

The friends of Nancy, Bess and George, also play their role.

I found this book interesting to read. It is also a bit frightening. Some passages of the book are very fascinating and I could feel that the events were happening right in front of my eyes. I can recommend this book to readers. I will rate it 8 out of 10 points.
