That Girl: I Didn’t Have the Vegas Notion Part 2 continues the action begun the week before in Part 1, picking up with the shocker of a last scene. It’s a largely predictable story to anyone who has been around the block with movies and TV shows, but even so, it was different for

That Girl and still reasonably entertaining. I’ve never really enjoyed these stories, though, so that’s why I’m not really raving about it like I might otherwise.

They do have some nice outdoor location shots at the hotel, but the bad news is that you can tell that they had to re-dub it in the studio.

      • The shots of Hoover Dam and Lake Mead are great, though.

Along with Jack Cassidy as Marty Haines, Hope Holliday guest stars as Joanne Ferrer, Marty’s kinda-girlfriend. She had gone along with Marty’s plan to woo Ann Marie (Marlo Thomas) via one of his infamous pranks, but then decides to help Ann and Don Hollinger

(Ted Bessell) to get their revenge. The added piece of the comedy puzzle comes from Lou Marie (Lew Parker), who shows up in Las Vegas under the false assumption that Ann and Don had gotten married.

The resolution has some good laughs in it, and this show is enjoyable. The ending is sweet and romantic as well.
