That Girl: Ten Per Cent of Nothing Is Nothing is okay, but not great, especially since it has some issues. The first issue for me is that we’ve got another case of the rotating agent for Ann Marie (Marlo Thomas). The problem is that they’ve never said Ann has a theatrical agent, a commercial agent, and a movie agent, for example.

How could she afford three anyway? So, while we’ve only seen Seymour a couple of times in the course of this series, he’s often referred to, with phone calls and such.

The only time Seymour isn’t around is when the writers decide to do an episode that concentrates more on the agent in some respect. Such is the case in this ...

      • show, where Ann is actually giving a party for her agent, who is for this episode named Sandy Stone. The other problem here is that Sandy Stone is played by comic Morty Gunty who, just a few shows earlier this season, appeared as himself during the Vegas two-parter.

The basic plot is that Sandy revives his nightclub act and has Ann working with

him as his partner. He’s too afraid to go back out on his own.

The other problem with this show is that there isn’t a sufficient wrap up. Sandy is all through the first two-thirds and then just disappears. While that sets up a funny bit at the end, it just felt incomplete.

The show is okay, but it could have been much better.
