  • In terms of gameplay, Mega Man 64 is a ton of fun, but there are times when the game feels slow, and even a little bit boring
  • You will face a lot of boss battles in this game, many can be defeated by simply dodging attacks and shooting at the enemy, and while this is exciting, satisfying, and definitely entertaining, some will be glad to know that there are boss battles that will require some strategy to win
  • Though my favorite game of all time, and I would love to give it a 10 out of 10, it is by no means a perfect game and hasn't really stood the test of time, so I can't give it an honest 10, but I would recommend Mega Man 64 to any fan of action and adventure, or really any gamer in general

Mega Man 64 is 2000 port of the well received 1997 Playstation game Mega Man Legends, this port brought a whole new audience to the game, all with very different opinions, and I feel the need to share mine.

In terms of gameplay, Mega Man 64 is a ton of fun, but there are times when the game feels slow, and even a little bit boring. This is made up for with the dungeon exploration, intense and engaging boss fights, and amusing cutscenes.

The dungeon exploration gives you a great sense of discovery every time you find a hidden room, or a shortcut to another area of the

island in which the game takes place, there are optional dungeons to explore filled with parts for you to use to create new weapons, money to buy upgrades, and other helpful treasures to assist you in your main adventure.

As with any other game in the Mega Man franchise, there is a lot of robot fighting action, but it’s a little different this time around. The controls may be difficult to get used to when you’re playing for the first time, but once you’ve gotten used to them you’ll be glad they are how they are.

You will face a lot of boss battles in this ...

      • game, many can be defeated by simply dodging attacks and shooting at the enemy, and while this is exciting, satisfying, and definitely entertaining, some will be glad to know that there are boss battles that will require some strategy to win.

While the story and writing for the character dialog is nothing groundbreaking, the mystery of the Kattelox Island treasure should keep you interested enough to keep you playing until the end, and much of the character dialog can be very humorous.

Though the main story is a bit on the short side, there are lots of optional dungeons and side quests to keep you entertained for quite

a while, you can search for parts to build new weapons, take on jobs from the police station, and perform small tasks for citizens in need.

Mega Man 64 has a great lasting appeal that can keep you playing until you’ve completed everything there is to complete.

Though my favorite game of all time, and I would love to give it a 10 out of 10, it is by no means a perfect game and hasn’t really stood the test of time, so I can’t give it an honest 10, but I would recommend Mega Man 64 to any fan of action and adventure, or really any gamer in general.
