  • I was unsure if I believed the claims of getting rid of dark bags and puffiness, but the idea of a roller was kind of interesting
  • I have lately had a lot of puffiness under my eyes which I believe due to the very dry climate I am living in and the very early time I get up in the mornings
  • The roll-on applicator is supposed to be easy and convenient, so you can use it wherever you are without a mess
  • I noticed first that the ball applicator is metal, and as I rolled it on under my eyes, a cool sensation occurred, almost like putting ice-cubes on your skin
  • I really enjoy the temporary cool feeling, but I think this product may be more about the feeling than tangible results

When I first saw the Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller advertised on television, I was intrigued. I was unsure if I believed the claims of getting rid of dark bags and puffiness, but the idea of a roller was kind of interesting. I have lately had a lot of puffiness under my eyes which I believe due to the very dry climate I am living in and the very early time I get up in the mornings. The fact that the advertising promises ‘instant’ results is also interesting, as most products are careful to say that there will be changes ‘over time.’ I did buy it the next time I was at the drugstore, paying $19.99 for a

small roller, and I took it home to read up on it.

The way this product is supposed to work is that, according to the packaging, it stimulates around the eye area to get rid of the excess fluid that causes puffiness, and contains dozens of ingredients such as caffeine, glycerin, vitamins, and other nifty and scientific-sounding components. The roll-on applicator is supposed to be easy and convenient, so you can use it wherever you are without a mess. So I opened it up and gave it a try.

I noticed first that the ball applicator is metal, and as I rolled it on under my eyes, a cool sensation occurred, almost like putting ice-cubes on your skin. That cool feeling is ...

      • very refreshing, but the liquid globbed a bit on my skin, so I had to use my finger to smooth it in, and then it finally was absorbed. The cooling feeling lasted about 3 minutes, while I put on moisturizer on the rest of my face. I did not notice ‘instant’ lessening of the puffiness under my eyes, but it sure feels soothing and cool and seemed to wake me up and make me feel less puffy. I did notice that when I applied it in the afternoon, it again gave me a slight feeling of energy around my eyes and a tingly coolness again. I am unsure how to describe the sensation, other than it’s like putting a cool
        cloth over your eyes.

I cannot say that after two weeks my dark circles or under-eye puffiness is gone, let alone having any ‘instant’ results. I have noticed that on the days that I have applied it more often than morning and night that my eyes feel less tired and look a bit more rested. I really enjoy the temporary cool feeling, but I think this product may be more about the feeling than tangible results. Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller does give the feeling of increased moisture and decreased tiredness to eyes, so if the feeling is enough for you and you don’t expect to see your puffiness and circles completely disappear, then you should give it a try.
