  • Having used mineral loose powder before from an Australian brand, I was intend on trying a mineral powdered foundation next, unfortunately I could not find the brand I desired
  • The colour was just right for me and I was happy with the finish, it did leave my face with a good enough coverage and felt very light and natural
  • What I like about it was that it seemed to still stay on after 6 hours
  • I would definitely recommend the Mary Kay Mineral Powder Foundation but if you’re purchasing online do make sure you have the right shade for your skin tone

Having used mineral loose powder before from an Australian brand, I was intend on trying a mineral powdered foundation next, unfortunately I could not find the brand I desired. My niece recommended Mary Kay as she had been using their products for quite sometime now. Unfortunately we do not have Mary Kay where I live and thus had to order online, going through their website I soon realize that their products were pretty affordable, I decided to purchase a few items including a jar of their Mineral Powder Foundation. It was quite a task to decide which shade

would actually match my tone and I finally went with Ivory 2. I am rather tan but the shade looked closes to my skin tone and I was rather willing to take the chance on it.

When I received it, I was pleasantly surprise that the colour I choose was a match. It was an 8g jar but I knew with certainty that most mineral powders goes a pretty long way. The packaging was simple and the jar was clear with a sliver lid. There were easy to follow instructions on how to apply the foundation. All you ...

      • needed to do was give the jar a gentle shake and using a brush just swirl and remove excess powder and work your way from centre of the face outwards. I usually use a light concealer under my eyes as I have dark circles but always remember to wait for it to dry thoroughly before applying the foundation powder or you’ll end up with a patchy finish.

The powder was really easy to apply but I did find the scent slightly medicinal, but thankfully the scent doesn’t linger. The colour was just right for me and I was happy

with the finish, it did leave my face with a good enough coverage and felt very light and natural. Unlike my other mineral powder that gave off a slight shimmer, the Mary Kay powder was matt throughout which left me with an easier canvas to work on, I could use either matt or shimmer eye make up. What I like about it was that it seemed to still stay on after 6 hours. I would definitely recommend the Mary Kay Mineral Powder Foundation but if you’re purchasing online do make sure you have the right shade for your skin tone.
