  • I love Harry Potter books but sorry David, I just don't enjoy the movie
  • The only good thing was, no matter how bad the movie is, somehow there will still be viewers as there are just too many Harry Potter fans around who are curious of how their favourite story would look like on the big screen

Everyone knows Harry Potter - that’s how famous Harry Potter is. Whether you enjoy reading fantasies, you have to admit that Harry Potter books are excellent. JK Rowling had successfully created a a fake world which feels so real to the readers.

Too bad the same could not be said about Harry Potter movies. Sorry to say this, but really, David Yates had disappointed us.

It is a well-known fact that Harry Potter series, except the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher Stone,

are generally too long to be made into a movie, therefore it is necessary to cut out many scenes, no matter how important there are. Therefore, the selection of which scenes to be cut and which to remain becomes the main contributing factor of the quality of the movie.

David Yates had cut out many important scenes that should remain. It is crucial that all childhood memoried of Lord Voldemort (the villain)shall be included into the movie as they help the movie viewers to understand ...

      • the plot better, especially those who had not read Harry Potter before. However, only two of Lord Voldemort’s memories were featured.

Also, David Yates emphasized too much on the love between the Hogwarts students. This makes the scenes seem somewhat disconnected from one to another as the priority of the movie should be given to the battle between the good and the evil. It is somewhat annoying to have to frequently change your mood from relaxed to tense according to the plot of the movie.

The mushy moments may make the movie viewers laugh, but they had not contributed much to the quality of the movie.

I love Harry Potter books but sorry David, I just don’t enjoy the movie. There were so many times where I almost felt asleep. The only good thing was, no matter how bad the movie is, somehow there will still be viewers as there are just too many Harry Potter fans around who are curious of how their favourite story would look like on the big screen.
