Venture Bros is quite possibly the best Adult Swim original show. It follows the adventures of a super-scientist, his two teenage sons and his bodyguard as they face assorted villains, including Dr. Venture's nemesis, the Monarch.

But while this may sound like a standard action-adventure series, it's far from that because it brings a twisted sense of humor to the proceedings.
Brock Samson, the bodyguard brings humor through excessive violence.

Hank and Dean, the two Venture boys, are funny because of their sheer dorkiness. Much of Dr.

Venture's humor comes from his inflated self-importance (he's not really the super-scientist he thinks he is) and his caustic wit. This is definitely a cartoon for adults.

If you're easily offended, then you probably don't want to watch this show.
The second season of the show is currently premiering on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim lineup, while the first season is available on DVD.

The second season has only upped the quality of the show and brought some continuity to the series, with returning characters and episodes introducing characters' backstories.
