  • As I watched, I realized such a simple, fun story was laced with real life issues that real people have to deal with, such as not being able to have children, growing old, child-parent relations, greed, etc. Aside from the themes, I thought the movie was hilarious in a silly, dry humor sort of way and very cute
  • Even though this was computer animated, I am very impressed the realistic portrayals of the characters, such as their emotions and their problems, namely Carl and Russell
  • I think a film that makes me sad enough to want to cry just a little bit into the story (and an animated film at that) is very impressive and touches the heart
  • I watched the film in 3-D, which gave me a slight headache and nauseating feeling initially, but I became used to it eventually and it enhanced the experience
  • I know there will be more 3-D films after this, but I hope to see more with as much heart and entertainment as Up

I went to see this movie early June after hearing wonderful things about it. I had previously watched the Pixar’s other movie WALL-E and loved it, so I had great expectations. I figured Up would also have some kind of global message such respecting the environment in WALL-E; why else would it appeal to such a wide audience range?

(Although I found it hard to believe Carl had so much energy as on old man!). I think a film that makes me sad enough to want to cry just a little bit into the story (and an animated
