  • Usually you are someone in a book and what's interesting is you get to choose how the story progresses

When I was a kid I never was interested in reading books because at that time I was too busy playing the Sega console or the Playstation 1. But these series of books were an exception though for me.

I was first introduced to these books by my brother. He borrowed “Daredevil Park” from someone and told me I should read it and from then on I liked the books. A book back then usually costs

150 pesos and it consists almost 120 pages more or less. I usually finish one then buy another after a month or so.

Bantam’s Choose Your Own Adventure was fun for me because literally you get to choose your own adventure. There are different stories such as “The Antimatter Universe”, “Cyberspace Warrior”, “The Lost Ninja” to name some. Usually you are someone in a book and what’s interesting is you get to choose how the story ...

      • progresses. For example after reading page 2 you are given decision whether to trust this or not and the consequences are on the other pages of the book. It felt exciting reading these books because you get to be the hero. There are also many endings in the book so in turn you are forced to read or choose another decision if you don’t like the ending. It didn’t seem the ordinary book so maybe
that’s why I got hooked in it and later I was able to appreciate other books as well.

These books made me interested in reading. So I suggest you try to read them or give your younger siblings a book from one of these series. Fortunately, I just found out that Chooseco republished some of the books again in 2005 so try to find one in your local bookstores and I promise it is worh it. =D
