At first I really wanted to see this film. The previews looked incredibly scary.

And as usual the powers that be put the scariest, most disturbing scenes in the actual trailer.

I cannot believe that I actually was going to visit the movie theater to see this movie.

      To be

fair, there is a good deal of suspense.

But it is the styling that makes the move seem less intense.

Because of all the glamorous styling (even though the tones and colors are dark)—the authenticity of the movie has been compromised.

All teens and young adults don’t look like they’ve just stepped out of ...

      • an Old Navy commercial.

And all young adults don’t have cookie cutter relationships that are completely predictable.

You can tell who the people are that are going to get killed.

You understand that the young woman is going to consult someone to help her figure out the “mystery” behind the strange things happening

        to her.

I just couldn’t put the pieces together in such a way that I found the story more interesting.

Considering all the anticlimactic scenes sprinkled throughout, I wondered how the directors were going to continue keeping viewers entertained; many of the images seen in this film are scary.

But the context has been overdone in movies.
