We’ve used the Philips AJ3950 alarm clock for a couple of years now. It has several nice features that sets it above the generic clock radios.

First of all, it has attractive silver styling.

The clock is larger than normal, especially in height.

However, this allows for a considerable improvement in audio quality.

The mesic quality is far beyond most clocks, and is comparable to that of any small stereo.

The clock features two alarms, that can be set for different times or for different days of the week,

      • either weekend or work week.

Each alarmm can be set to play either a standard alarm, a preset radio station or a CD track.

Each alarm also has seperate volume control, which is useful when there are two people sharing the clock.

        Another nice feature

is that the alarms can be set to increase in volume.

That is, you can set the alarm to start at a lower level and increase to higher volume.

This is nice if you are like me and don’t enjoy waking up to a sudden loud noise.
