  • I love the show so much that I refuse to leave the house while it's on and if I have to leave the house before it comes on I'll cut my trip short to get back in time
  • I know just where Carrie is coming from as she threatens Doug who is a bit bigger than she is with physical harm for doing something that causes her stress

King of Queens is only shown in reruns now and I’m thankful that it is. I was working too much during the original run of the series to get to watch it all but now I watch it faithfully Monday through Friday at 5 and 5:30pm and at 7 and 7:30pm on Saturdays on the CW. I love the show so much that I refuse to leave the house while it’s on and if I have to leave the house before it comes on I’ll cut

my trip short to get back in time.

Doug and Carrie Heffernan while they may not have the marriage everyone dreams of do have an obvious connection despite the fact that Carrie’s dad lives in the basement. Arthur Spooner gives the show some of its strangest moments as he walks around yelling demands like a child while all the time insisting his daughter treat him as an adult. His antics give the show a lighter side as Doug and Carrie attempt to deal with the realities of ...

      • everyday life.

Actually watching Carrie take care of the house, manage the finances and work a full week while Doug goes to work then goes off on some strange adventure with his friends that leads to trouble reminds me of my own life. I know just where Carrie is coming from as she threatens Doug who is a bit bigger than she is with physical harm for doing something that causes her stress.

I know the original run ended a few years ago. I was fortunate enough to

see the series finale as it aired but I hope that the reruns don’t end anytime soon. I still feel a slight sadness when the last episode reruns. I am glad that the loving Heffernan’s ended up with two children but saddened by the fact that we don’t get to watch them grow up as Carrie continues to deal with Arthur who’s probably still living in the basement.

I have to give King of Queens a 10 of 10 for making laugh and giving me a sense of family.
