This is the 2nd movie that I have seen in 3D. The 3D effect is indeed a visual treat. It is very entertaining and it took movie watching up a notch. It is as if you can actually touch and feel the characters. Kids and adult alike enjoy such visual effect. The only thing that I don’t like about 3D movies is the fact that you have to put on the 3D eyeglasses in

order to fully enjoy the effects. It is a bit annoying to sit thru the theater for two hours or so with that thing on. If only 3D movies can be experienced without the glasses, it will be more comfortable and more enjoyable. The graphics in Monsters VS Aliens, I must say is superb. The sound effects add up to the movie’s overall appeal.

As for the story line, it is about a lady named Susan Murphy who is about to get married but was hit by a meteor on the day of her wedding. She grew and grew and turned into a giant. The wedding was off and Susan was captured by the authorities and was confined in a top-secret facility for “Monsters”. She was later named “ Ginormica”. There she met others like her including B.O.B. a gelatinous blob, Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D, the Missing ...

Link and Insectosaurus. Together they battled and fought an alien named Gallaxhar. Well, that is pretty much where the story revolves. Each scene is fun to watch because its filled with adventure, funny punch lines and very interesting characters. My husband and I loved it. Of course, if you will dig deeper, there’s a lesson to the whole story too.

If you haven’t seen Monsters VS Aliens, it may be too

late to catch it in 3D. But just for the fun of, wait for its DVD and take time to rent it. It is a good movie for families to enjoy.

A little about the movie: Monsters VS Aliens was realeased in May 2009. It was from from DreamWorks Animation and Paramount Pictures, so as expected it is great. It features the voices of many well-known actors and actresses including Reese Witherspoon, Seth Rogen, Hugh Laurie, Rainn Wilson and Stephen Colbert.
