  • Overall it's a very nice saddle, but to be quite honest when I purchase a new saddle, it will definitely be leather
  • I would recommend a Wintec to someone who is a lower level rider, or someone who doesn't show, and just wants a durable, inexpensive, comfortable saddle

A Wintec is the kind of saddle you can always count on, if it’s raining, if you don’t have time to clean it and have to hose it down, if you need to hurl it up on the highest saddle rack in the tack room - ANYTHING. I’ve never seen

a more durable saddle. I’ve hosed down my saddle time after time to clean it and it looks like new after every washing - try doing that with your leather saddle! It’s also amazingly light, which I’m always thankful for when I see my friend hauling her big leather saddle ...

      • up on her 17 hand horse.

Overall it’s a very nice saddle, but to be quite honest when I purchase a new saddle, it will definitely be leather. Although Wintecs are low maintenance and the notion of being able to hose off your saddle sounds nice, it really doesn’t save

that much time and I don’t mind cleaning leather tack. A saddle you can hose off will never look as nice as a well kept leather saddle.

I would recommend a Wintec to someone who is a lower level rider, or someone who doesn’t show, and just wants a durable, inexpensive, comfortable saddle.
