I saw the movie ‘Knowing’ last night, and I have to say that Nicolas Cage has once again lived down to my opinion of him as a poor actor who should have quit after ‘Raising Arizona.’ The movie is terrible, which isn’t all the actors’ faults, as the plot is ridiculous. I was into it a bit, until the aliens made an appearance, and then it just got completely ridiculous.

That story line may have been interesting and palatable, but soon a few aliens were unnecessarily introduced, which just made the plot muddied and far too out there to be believable. The movie lasts an eternity, over two hours, and becomes more far-fetched as it goes on.

The only good feature of this movie was the young actor who plays

Nicolas Cage’s son; although I have never seen him in a movie before, he did a great job in this movie. But he is the only good aspect of this movie. Even the special effects and the action scenes are poorly done, and those are features of movies that can sometimes save a bad plot or poor acting. ‘Knowing’ is a movie that has an unbelievable storyline, mediocre at best acting, and is a bit tortuous to watch to the end.
